Explore the art of embossed lettering with artist and craftswoman, Rebecca Stark. Design and create your own copper plaque, inspired by text and motifs from the David Parr House. Learning techniques of embossing and repousse, you’ll be taken through the process of creating a lettered plaque that’s rich in both contour and texture.
All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
Rebecca Stark is a local artist who graduated with a BA Hons in Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics at the University of Brighton. Since then Rebecca’s love of creating art has been a constant. Rebecca thrives on the challenges of working in two very different disciplines – designing and making metal clocks, and creating mixed-media layered paintings.
