In this workshop, you will:
Learn the fundamentals of woven darning and visible mending for knitted garments
Practise your stitches on knitted swatches before repairing your own items
Discover techniques for mending socks, jumpers, scarves and other woollen clothing
Explore mending as a creative and restorative process, extending the life of much-loved garments
Repair, or begin to repair, your own knitted items with guidance from Luce
Take home darning needles, yarn and the confidence to continue your mending journey at home

Time to experiment and develop your skills at your own pace
A light lunch from local independent bakery Norfolk Street Bakery
During the lunch break, the opportunity to glimpse inside David Parr House
What to bring
Please bring along any damaged wool or knitted garments you'd like to work on.
All other materials will be supplied, including tools and yarn for practising during the workshop and continuing at home.
