This beautiful cream wool cushion is made from a vintage blanket and embellished with a blackbird using free machine embroidery. The design is taken from Bishop Allcock’s Chantry Chapel in Ely Cathedral. Comes with cushion pad.

 Designed and made using both old and new cloth – ancient wool blankets, printed cotton or worn denim, silk velvet and linen all lend themselves to screen-printed and embroidered embellishment.

Over the land freckled with snow half-thawed

The speculating rooks at their nests cawed

And saw from elm-tops, delicate as flower of grass,

What we below could not see, Winter pass.
