David Parr House Souvenir Book

Inspired by Victorian ‘souvenir books’ this pocket guide tells the story of an artisan decorator working during the Arts and Crafts era. A young contemporary of George F Bodley and William Morris, David Parr worked for both these renowned designers through the Cambridge firm of F.R. Leach. In between travelling around the country to paint churches and the houses of the wealthy, Parr used his acquired skills and knowledge to transform his own terraced home that he bought in 1886.

Written by Anna Norman. Published by Casita Press in association with the David Parr House in 2021.
