The House and Garden
David Parr House has small rooms and a steep set of stairs with a single handrail. Tours involve standing in the house for approximately 50 minutes without leaning or touching the walls.
A small foldaway chair is available for those who might find standing difficult.
The garden is on one level, mostly grass. It has a narrow concrete path with a flowerbed on one side.
Studio Space and Shop
The Studio Space and Shop at 184 Gwydir Street has a single step from the pavement to the front path and a further step to the front door. Step-free access can be arranged through the back door.
Restricted Mobility
For those with restricted mobility, we offer access to the ground floor of David Parr House and a digital experience of the house in the Studio Space by arrangement.
There is a step up to the front door of the house and inside there is a step down to the kitchen from which you can access the garden step-free.
Due to the fragility of the walls, it is not possible to support yourself by learning against or touching the walls.
