In 1912, David Parr inscribed on his Drawing Room wall ‘If you do anything, do it well’. This sentiment has inspired the passionate private donors and dedicated volunteers who, over the past five years, have helped save the David Parr House. Now it’s our turn to ensure that we safeguard its future. We receive no government or public funding for running costs, ongoing conservation and maintenance of the house and collection, or for education and research. Even though we are a tiny venue we have big ambitions and are building a £1m endowment so that the David Parr House has an ongoing annual programme of exhibitions, events and learning activities.
Until 2021 every pound is doubled by our award from Heritage Lottery Fund so if you Gift Aid your £10 donation becomes £25, £40 becomes £100, £120 becomes £300, and so on.
