“Fine art is that in which the hand, the head, and the heart of man go together.” John Ruskin
Our online 3D tour is an exciting new way for you to experience the David Parr House. After booking a tour you will be sent a confirmation email and, prior to your tour, you will be emailed with a unique link and password for your booked time and date. Clicking the link will allow you to meet our guides for an hour long, personally guided virtual tour of this very special house. Each tour is for up to eight visitors with a guide and steward (one ticket per visitor).
At the end of the tour, you have the opportunity to explore the 3D house on your own and access additional content through ‘hotspots’ embedded in every room. Watch conservation videos, listen to audio memories and the sounds of the house, find out more through photographs and documents – there is a wealth of information to explore. You can access this platform for around 48 hours.
We are really delighted to have developed a tour which can be delivered by our wonderful guides from the safety of their homes, directly into your home. As one of the first Heritage organisations to be using the technology in this way, we find ourselves as pioneers and would like to thank Historic England and the Arts Council for their funding and support.
Please book one ticket per viewer. If two people are viewing the tour, please buy two tickets. The online tour is an important way for us to generate revenue in order for us to continue to share the house.
Before your tour you will be sent the unique URL via email with links and password.
The guided session will be via Zoom, – please make sure that you have Zoom installed on your device and are familiar with how it works if this is your first time using it. To explore the virtual space after the guided session you must ensure you are using one of the following browsers:
Windows: Chrome, Firefox, Edge (Chromium version only)
Mac OS (Mac / Macbook): Safari, Chrome
iOS (iPad / iPhone): Safari
Failure to use the browsers listed above will result in the tour not working correctly.
Please ensure that your camera and microphone are working before the tour commences.
Visit our FAQ page for further information.
Refunds – Please Note – We are unable to offer refunds on tickets purchased.
If you are a UK tax payer you can support the David Parr House by opting to Gift Aid your ticket. By choosing to give a 10% donation, the Government will give us an extra 25% on top of your donation. It makes a massive difference to charities like us, and makes a significant contribution to the maintenance of the House.
