This oblong cushion is made from washed linen with a generous feather filled cushion pad. The back of the cushion is plain coloured linen to compliment the colour of the print and a concealed zip allows for the cover to be removed easily. The design of this cushion is inspired by William Morris’s famous “Strawberry Thief” design of 1883.
Jill Pargeter Artist’s Statement:
“I have been working as a print maker and designer for over thirty years after studying printed textiles at Manchester Polytechnic. All of my work is hand made to my original designs from printing, stitching and finishing the final pieces.
My work is inspired by folk art and the arts & crafts movement and it combines my love of history, nature and poetic verse. My designs are hand drawn and then screen printed onto fabrics from which I produce a range of decorative objects for the home.”
