Your group (of 7-12 people) will divide into two and take part in two activities, lasting ninety minutes each Half of your group will take the House Tour as the other half enjoys one of the activities listed below, then you swap places so that everyone has the full experience. The whole group will enjoy either a Tour and a Talk or a Tour and a Walk.
If you have specific requirements, we can discuss them. However, we have crafted a choice of activities which we hope you’ll really enjoy. Talks take place in the relaxed environment of the Visitor Centre next door to the David Parr House at 184 Gwydir Street.
An Introduction to F R Leach for whom David Parr worked and who also worked with George Bodley, William Morris and other masters on Arts & Crafts and neo-Gothic decorative work around Cambridge and across the country.
Stepping Outside the David Parr House a guided walk around the immediate area around the house, including both huse gardens and the rarely opened sheds.
The Conservation of the David Parr House a talk about the various conservation skills involved in saving the house and opening it up to visitors.
