This beautiful cream wool pouch is made from a vintage blanket and other repurposed fabrics. Embellished with free machine embroidery, and lined with colourful cotton.
Welcome to The Speculating Rook, home to textiles for the curious and discerning. Here you will find beasts for any occasion.
Designed and made using both old and new cloth – ancient wool blankets, printed cotton or worn denim, silk velvet and linen all lend themselves to screen-printed and embroidered embellishment.
Over the land freckled with snow half-thawed
The speculating rooks at their nests cawed
And saw from elm-tops, delicate as flower of grass,
What we below could not see, Winter pass.
